Visitation Information: Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Patton Funeral Home in Huntsville.
Service Information: Graveside services will be on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 10:30 am at the Huntsville City Cemetery.
Contributions: In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Living Memorial Scholarship or the Huntsville Christian Church.

Biography:

Minnie Marie Bagby, 88, of Huntsville, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Landmark Hospital in Columbia, MO.

Marie was born September 2, 1929, in Huntsville, MO, a daughter of Guy Allen and Myrtle Katherine (Turner) Fleming.  On May 18, 1953, in New Franklin, MO, she married Charles Tyson Bagby who survives of the home. 

Marie graduated from Huntsville High School, attended Central Methodist College in Fayette, graduated from Northeast Missouri State Teachers’ College in Kirksville and taught Commerce at Sturgeon High School. 

Marie loved God, her family and the community.  Some special events in her life were helping establish the Living Memorial Scholarship; helping with the coordination of a Women’s retreat; leading a Bible reading marathon; and leading a recognition of local firemen and police soon after 9/11.  She was 1973 MRS Woman of the Year and Grand Marshall of the Old Settler’s Fall Fair.  She was a charter member of the Huntsville Historical Society and an active member of the Huntsville Christian Church. 

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Tyson Bagby; two sons, Charles Bagby (Denise) of Derby, KS, Douglas Bagby (Tracey) of Troy, MO; one daughter, Deanna Bagby of Huntsville, MO; six grandchildren, Brad Bagby, Katie Entwisle (Adam), Kristin Holmes (Stephen), Kasey Tayon (fiancé Tim Cato), Kaleb Bagby (fiancé Kaylee Jepsen), Kameron Bagby; seven great-grandchildren, Jackson, Emmie, Mason, Emma, Hunter, Christopher, Ethan and Ella; one sister, Velma Halley (Robert) of Moberly, MO; special cousin, Floyd Alverson.

Marie was preceded in death by both of her parents and one grandson at infancy, Tyler Weston Bagby.
